When Pens Bloom: A Chapbook Collaboration with Poets Are The Destroyers and Plants & Poetry House.
This digital chapbook will be housed on both organization's sites. We will publish this collection Sept 1st, 2020. Any type of medium. Prose, poetry, photo of your garden, or a digital media. Our communities live in New York City, Bentonville, Bella Vista, and Rabat, Morocco, but we welcome work from all corners of the earth.
We will discuss how destruction leads to new beginnings. We bloom, we die, and in time we are reborn. How do we water ourselves? How do we provide for the rest of the garden? What are the tools needed to prosper? Is there such thing as too much sunlight? Are we allowing space for new seeds to sow?
Plants & Poetry is an organization that offers poetry and plant education to reconnect with the soil and ourselves. It also curates a nature inspired literary Journal that plants a tree or seed for every piece of work submitted. For the month of September, Plants & Poetry House will be partnering with Poets Are The Destroyers in substitute for the Fourth Issue: September for When Pens Bloom: A Chapbook Collaboration.
Poets Are The Destroyers is a cinematic love story about the lives of millennial poets in Brooklyn, NYC. The cast members are constantly wrestling with this idea of destruction & creation.
