Read MoreI have been looking for a new apartment since mid FEBRUARY, to no avail, and it's been an absolute major QUEST these last few weeks especially. Currently crashing with friends while waiting to hear back from multiple leasing offices on the status of my applications... Living out of a suitcase containing only my hard drives, laptop, and a few changes of clothes while my sweet cat is being cared for by great friends in the city and all of my possessions sit in a Uhaul. Read MoreWhile I can’t directly speak to or appease every individual’s experience, I can say that I know what it’s like to feel hopeless, uninspired, fearful, and downright useless. As artists, we rely on our audience to push us forward and without live contact or consistent feedback, we may not have the excitement or spark to carry on. We also need certain tools to create, and depending on your financial situation, this may feel or be near impossible. So without an audience and without the resources, what do we do?
Read MoreI was in major denial about the state of the world for the first month of Covid, happily using my newfound funemployment and free time to write, paint, and inhale edibles like it was Midol.
